UN-SPIDER to participate in the 36th International Symposium on Remote Sensing of the Environment

The 36th International Symposium on Remote Sensing of the Environment (ISRSE) hosted by the German Aerospace Center (DLR) will take place from 11 to 15 May in Berlin.

Afghanistan the First Country Mapped using Broad Scale Hyperspectral Data

For the first time, about 70 percent of a country has been mapped using an advanced remote sensing technique known as hyperspectral imaging. In order to assist Afghanistan in understanding their abundant natural resources, in particular the development of an economically viable minerals market, the U.S.
