Duration of the degree is two years by distance learning, plus 3 optional study events.
This programme provides anyone with a vocational or academic interest in risk, crisis and disaster management with an exceptional opportunity to develop in-depth knowledge and understanding across the whole subject area.
This master’s course provides a wide-ranging interdisciplinary analysis of the extent, effects and explanations of crisis and disaster, and the use of risk theory. In addition to examining case studies, you will also be provided with the opportunity to undertake supervised research in an area of personal or professional interest.
A first- or second-class honours degree or an acceptable equivalent professional qualification. Special consideration is given to applications from people with relevant work experience and knowledge.
