Applicants should have: A bachelors degree Worked in an NGO in the field of disaster risk management and disaster risk reduction Worked in a job as Chief Director/Director or Senior officer in a critical national disaster institution Worked in a the media/private sector position that is closely linked to disaster response or disaster risk reduction Must have more than four years of work ahead of him before retirement

Theme: 'Resilient leadership is critical to building effective disaster and emergency intervention' 

The Strengthening Leadership in Disaster Resilience Program (SLDRP), a program at the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), Ho, Volta Region, will run a Certificate Course in Disaster Resilience Leadership. This is divided into two modules. The first module will be offered from 22nd-28th September 2013 and the second module from 9th-15th February 2014. Acceptance into the first module confirms automatic participation in the second module of training.
