A new 3D Elevation Programme (3DEP), is the outcome of a partnership between USGS and other federal, state, local and private agencies in the United States, designed to respond to the growing needs for three-dimensional mapping data of the United States.
CBDRR practitioners who want to develop their capacities and essential skills and knowledge on Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction as well as interested persons who would like to know more about CBDRR

The course is open for participants from various sectors including, local government departments, NGOs, INGOs, UN, IFRC, national emergencyresponse agencies and private sector. Participants from policy and senior management levels of government, UN, donor organizations and INGOs are welcome if they are interested to learn about how CBDRR is operationalized. As course participants come from a diverse range of countries and organizations, and the class size is limited to 30 persons, ADPC accepts nominations from Asia and the Pacific on a first come, first served basis, provided that the applicant meets the course requirements. A limited number of participants from other regions will also be accepted, on a case by case and "first come first served" basis.

The course is open to all participants who are working or will be working in the organizations where spatial information is used or considered to be used for the purpose of disaster risk management, disaster management, or disaster risk reduction. There is no prerequisite GIS knowledge for participant who is interested in this course.
The course welcome participants from all geographic areas, however the class size is limited to 30 persons. ADPC accepts nomination on a first come, first served basis provided the applicant meets the course requirement.

Participants must be fully conversant in English.
The standard course fee of US$3,175 covers the course tuition, training materials, accommodation with breakfast, meeting package, and study visits. Participants will be responsible for their own travel expenses and arrangements, airport transfers, visa application, lunch and dinners, health/accident insurance, and other personal expenses. Participant who wish to seek own accommodation can choose an alternative course fee package B of US$2,275
The training will be held in Bangkok, Thailand. Exact venue to be confirmed at a later date.
