The 3rd EnerGEO Summer School will be open to graduate and postgraduate scientists from relevant disciplines as well as experts involved in the fields of energy and remote sensing.

THE SUMMER SCHOOL

The 3rd EnerGEO Summer School is dedicated to explore renewable energy potentials and their impact on the environment. Participants will get insights into the energy assessment approach developed in EnerGEO as well as first-hand experience of applying different energy models.

Lectures and hands-on sessions are dedicated to:

  • Models for assessing energy potentials
  • Environmental impact assessment
  • Life cycle analysis
  • Integrated assessment of renewable energy resource use

The program is rounded off by interdisciplinary dialogues on the energy policy context and the participation at the Final Event of the EnerGEO project.

Training Requirements: 

Participants are expected to have a basic knowledge of GIS, remote sensing, renewable energies, energy modeling, impact assessment, life cycle analysis as well as good computational skills. Insight into the current debate on sustainable energy suppy are an asset.
