The National Service of Meteorology and Hydrology of Peru - SENAMHI, is a public executing agency attached to the Ministry of the Environment. The purpose of SENAMHI is to generate and provide information and meteorological, hydrological and climatic knowledge in a reliable, timely and accessible manner for the benefit of Peruvian society.
With the aim of disseminating reliable and quality information, SENAMHI operates, controls, organizes and maintains the National Network of more than 900 Meteorological and Hydrological Stations in accordance with the technical standards of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).
