The Copernicus MOOC is a Massive Open Online Course, free and accessible to all. It has been developed by the University of Luxembourg Competence Centre and PwC for the European Commission. It will be delivered between February and April 2020.

The broad aim of the program is to nurture professionals who can train researchers and take leadership in planning and implementation of national and international strategies and policies in the field of water-related risk management.
The program examines and selects candidates who:
– have motivation and capabilities for doctoral level work, and
– will train experts in the field of water-related risk management after completion of this program.
To be eligible for admission to the program, an applicant must have research or practical experiences more than one year in the field of water-related risk management in organizations including universities, or have written Master’s thesis related to water-related risk management.

This master’s course provides a wide-ranging interdisciplinary analysis of the extent, effects and explanations of crisis and disaster, and the use of risk theory. In addition to examining case studies, you will also be provided with the opportunity to undertake supervised research in an area of personal or professional interest.
