Burkinabe General Directorate for Civil Protection (DGPC)

The General Directorate for Civil Protection of Burkina Faso is part of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Decentralization (MATS). Its main functions are the implementation of the regulation, prevention, sensitisation of the population and first-aid in collaboration with the Ministerial departments concerned; the direction and coordination of operations during natural calamities and disasters and the management of migration and displaced persons.
