The Hyogo Framework for Action, the global roadmap for disaster risk reduction from 2005 – 2015 recognizes both community participation and gender-sensitive disaster risk management. Gender perspective is a cross-cutting principle of the Hyogo Framework for Action 2000 – 2015: on Building Resilience of Nations and Communities to Disaster, which states that:
This course aims at project staff, advisers, volunteers, women activist, humanitarian workers, disaster risk managers, gender desk officers and consultants, involved in facilitating integration of non discriminatory behaviour and equality between men and women. Candidates should have a good written command of English language and good competence and comfort with computer and internet use.
