The Dominican Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ mission is to promote a foreign policy in favour of the national interests of the Dominican Republic; oriented to defence, safeguarding its sovereignty, and peace and international security promotion. It also strengthens multilateral and bilateral mechanisms for national development, and common affairs of the international community.
The Ecuadoran Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Integration directs the implementation of the international policy of the State, orientates and coordinates the work of the diplomatic missions and consular offices, and exercises legal and political representation to national and international authorities.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is the State Office responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, executing and disseminating Foreign Policy as determined by the President of the Republic. It is also responsible for coordinating the activities of other ministries and public organizations in those areas that affect foreign policy. In addition, it intervenes in all matters pertaining to the determination and demarcation of the country’s borders and limits, as well as issues concerning border zones, airspace, maritime zones and Antarctic policy.
