Para llevar a cabo su mandato de servir como puente entre las comunidades que se dedica a la gestión de riesgos, a la respuesta en caso de emergencias y desastres y la espacial; ONU-SPIDER deber facilitar la comunicación y las sinergias entre las organizaciones e instituciones que pertenecen a estas comunidades. La apertura de comunicaciones se facilita a través del conocimiento de los perfiles institucionales.
