The National Water Authority (ANA), is an autonomous constitutional body of Peru. It is attached to the Ministry of Agriculture and is responsible for carrying out the necessary actions for the multisectorial and sustainable use of water resources by river basins. It is the Governing Body of the National System of Water Resources Management.
Its main function is the multisectorial and sustainable use of water resources by river basins, within the framework of the integrated management of natural resources and the management of national environmental quality by establishing strategic alliances with regional, local governments and the whole social and economic actors involved.
