National Commission of Aerospace Research and Development of Peru (CONIDA)

The National Commission of Aerospace Research and Development (CONIDA) is the body that governs the activities related to space research and development in Peru, as well as being the headquarters of the Space Agency of Peru.
 
 The National Commission of Aerospace Research and Development was created on June 11, 1974, by Decree Law 20643, as an entity subordinated to the then Ministry of Aeronautics (current Ministry of Defense). Its headquarters is located in the district of San Isidro, (Lima). Likewise, its Punta Lobos base is located 50 km south of Lima, in the district of Pucusana, and includes facilities for rocketry activities, scientific studies in astrophysics, and the National Satellite Image Operations Center (CNOIS). , this center has the function of administering the Peruvian satellite PeruSat-1.
