The National Office for Civil Protection (ONPC) under the Ministry of Interior of Tunisia is responsible for protecting people’s lives and properties against different disasters and threats. Its mandate includes response activities, overseeing operations of the National School of Civil Protection, as well as supervision and control of fire prevention and self-protection in facilities. ONCP also participates in the preparation of the national plan for disaster fighting, prevention and rescue organisation.
