The United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) launched the Access to Space for All initiative in 2018.It is a joint Initiative of UNOOSA and space agencies, research institutions and industry aimed at developing technical know-how, engineering processes and infrastructure of the United Nations Member States in the areas of hypergravity and microgravity experimentation, satellite development and space exploration. It provides research and orbital opportunities for Member States to access space and to ensure that the benefits of space, in particular for sustainable development, are truly accessible to everyone.
The main objectives of the Expert Meeting are to:
Share success stories and challenges on capacity-building activities and effective outreach
To discuss how to improve the Access to Space for All initiative
Bring together partners, awardees, supporting governments, and potential future partners and applicants of the initiative to create a network and build new partnerships
To raise awareness of the Access to Space for All initiative
This event is held fully online. Sessions 1-4 are open to all who register and session 5 is restricted to partners, awardees and past applicants.
