38th COSPAR Assembly 2010

Bremen is proud to host the biggest interdisciplinary scientific convention on space research, the 38th COSPAR Assembly 2010. The international event is taking place in the Bremen Exhibition & Conference Center, where representatives from science, government, industry and academia will meet.

Imbedded in this assembly is a space exhibition in the Bremen Arena, which is expected to attract attendants from over 50 countries. During the "Public Day" on Tuesday, 20th July 2010 the general public will have access to selected talks and the space exhibition. Furthermore a number of organizations will take advantage of the presence of their members at the COSPAR Assembly to organize associated scientific, business, or social events throughout the conference week.

In addition to the scientific program the local organizers provide a variety of technical visits to sites of Bremen's space industry and research, as well as guided tours to the tourist highlights for all participants and accompanying persons.

With 2,500 participants the COSPAR Scientific Assembly is the largest scientific convention on space research. Bremen is proud to host this assembly from 18 - 25 july 2010 at the Bremen Exhibition & Conference Center (Messe Bremen).

The conventions main purposes are to give international scientists a forum to share their latest discoveries and developments and to raise international awareness of space research and technology.
Major German players in the space sector OHB System, EADS Astrium and the German Aerospace Center (DLR) are supporting this event.
