Reminder: Call for Poster Submissions - The Third Multi-Hazard Early Warning Conference (MHEWC-III)

The MHEWC-III invites interested parties, particularly from the following entities, to submit posters on early warning systems that enable early action to save lives and livelihoods:

  • National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHSs)
  • Research and academia
  • Regional organizations
  • Civil protection agencies
  • The international community
  • Private sector entities
  • Other stakeholders

Posters will provide an opportunity for presenters to showcase their early warning initiatives. A selection of posters will be printed and showcased at the MHEWC-III in the Bali International Convention Center (BICC) in Bali, Indonesia. Posters will also be showcased on the Conference website.

Successful applicants will be invited to attend the in-person poster session on 23 May 2022 and discuss the content of their posters with attendees during a Poster Session.

Poster submissions should include:

  • Poster Title
  • Submitting institutions/organization
  • Author(s)
  • A brief abstract (450 words or less)
  • Email address and contact

Please note: Electronic submissions should be sent by email to mhew3 [at] wmo.int. If the file size exceeds 10MB, please use Dropbox, Google Drive, or a similar service to make your submission, as our servers will not accept emails greater than 10MB in size.

All posters must use the A1 Portrait format (594 x 841 mm/23.4 x 33.1 in).
Files must be in PDF format, Times New Roman size 12 font. Image quality should be 300dpi resolution. Submissions will undergo a thorough selection process carried out by the Conference Organizing Committee and decisions will be made available via email. All submissions are to be in English and may be edited for content and formatting.
