Webinar: Satellite Lifeline in Crisis: Disaster Preparedness & Recovery

GSOA Webinar

The Global Satellite Operators Association is organizing a webinar "Satellite Lifeline in Crisis: Disaster Preparedness & Recovery" on 23 May 2024.

Description from the organizer's website:

"In an era where the unpredictable is becoming the norm, satellite networks emerge as lifelines, bridging the gap between chaos and order when everything else fails. Often overlooked, yet undeniably crucial, these networks form the backbone of our resilience in the face of adversity.

The onset of COVID-19 and other recent disasters served as poignant reminders of the pivotal role satellite networks play in our collective safety and recovery efforts. But beyond mere functionality, satellite networks represent a beacon of innovation and hope. Through initiatives like the United Nations Crisis Connectivity Charter or UN Spider, they are paving the way for a future where collaboration and technology intersect to create impactful solutions.."
