The United Nations Program for Development is the agency of the UN system, advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life. UNDP operates in 177 countries and territories, working with governments and people to help them find their own solutions to global and national development challenges. UNDP has worked in El Salvador since 1975 and established cooperation programmes in line with national priorities. The Government of El Salvador and UNDP are jointly responsible for the UNDP Country Programme, to ensure the achievement of the expected results and the efficient use of resources.
