UN-SPIDER conducted a Institutional Strengthening Mission to Mongolia from 2 to 4 September 2019. The UN-SPIDER mission to Mongolia focused on exploring the current usage of space-based and geospatial systems at the National Emergency Management Agency, in order to review progress and provide a follow-up in the context of the recommendations of the report produced following the technical advisory mission, including assistance to become an authorized user of the International Charter on Space and Major Disasters. UN-SPIDER also conducted a one-day national workshop for stakeholders from various ministries and a meeting with high-level officials of the National Emergency Management Agency.
