The UNU Climate Resilience Initiative addresses the growing risks of climate change, including how to adapt to climate-induced extreme weather events and how to ensure climate-resilient development. By drawing lessons learned from the European floods in 2022, as well as other flood-prone areas of the world, this initiative aims to share knowledge, shape policy, and drive action – and ultimately shift the focus from passive vulnerability to pro-active adaptation, innovation and transformation. The Virtual Launch will introduce the initiative, and announce the Flood Knowledge Summit (July 2022).
