The Regional Disaster Management Centre of Excellence (RDMCOE) is a regional initiative with the following participating states: Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Seychelles, Tanzania, and Uganda.
The goals of the initiative are to strengthen regional capacities for disaster preparedness and response, to reduce disasters and their impact through enhanced regional capacity and cooperation, and to boost disaster management capability for sustainable regional development.
