On 16 October 2014, India successfully sent its third navigation satellite IRNSS-1C into orbit on board of a Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV). The launch was on schedule at 01:32 local time from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre.
IRNSS-1C is the third satellite of the seven satellite constellation of the Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS), an array of geosynchronous satellites that the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has been usying to gather navigation data of the Indian region.
