Learn how to select, load, and analyse Earth observation satellite data of Africa available through the Digital Earth Africa Sandbox platform. Inspect regions at scale, generate stunning images, and conduct quantitative remote sensing analysis.
This six-session course (plus bonus supporting content on Python basics) covers an introduction to the Digital Earth Africa program, and a quick start on how to use our analysis platforms. This includes the interactive Map portal as well as a Python coding-based Sandbox.
No prior experience in Earth observations, satellite data, or coding is required. All sessions feature step-by-step instructions and knowledge check quizzes, with the opportunity to achieve certification by passing all tasks.
